'Roads are not a jungle, but they can be wild'. To make people realise this fact, a road safety campaign was launched recently in Gurgaon with children. "With road fatality going over 1 lakh a year, there is a need to adhere safety measures. The campaign was a roadmap to make roads safe and it can be a big success if the young brigade takes the responsibility of implementing and spreading road safety awareness," said Gurgaon DCP (traffic) Bharti Arora.
A young girl Sakshi Mehra, who was a volunteer in the campaign said, "I feel sorry for the people who get injured in road accidents. In this campaign, I have attempted to educate elders to drive safely and don't mix drinking with driving."
