Over 300 carnatic music lovers from different parts of the capital paid homage to Sri Thyagaraja at Sri Sankatahara Ganapathy temple, Vasundhara Enclave on January 15 during 165th Thyagaraja. Eminent artists and many others participated in the event. The programme started from 9.30 am with Ganapathy Poojai, followed by little children rendering Sri Thyagaraja Krithis. Dr Vasanthy Krishna Rao of Delhi University led the group rendering of Pancharatna Krithis.
Sri K Vaidyanathan, Editor, Dinamani presided over the function and honoured all the artists. Maha Deep-aradhana was performed followed by distribution of Maha Prasadam.
