A warm gesture.

To protect the underprivileged from chilling cold, a distribution of warm clothes was carried out by Chetna, an NGO recently. The NGO through their rigorous survey during nights at 20 locations found that around 850 kids were deprived of warm clothes in this weather. Distribution of inners, jackets, socks, caps and slippers was done among the children near Nizamuddin Railway station and Sarai Kale Khan bus stand. SHO of Nizamuddin Railway station area Ramesh Khanka extended his support to carry this noble cause.
During the distribution, local police officers, railway police, child welfare committee members were also present. Sanjay Gupta, president, Chetna said, "This is a small initiative by our NGO through which the kids will get some respite from cold. We have spent approximately Rs 5 lakh from our own fund. We hope more kids get respite from cold."
