SIP Prodigy 2012, a state level contest of Abacus and Mental Arithmetic which was held in Haailand, announced the winners recently. Sixteen kids emerged champions at various levels.
Beginning from the 1st level, Naga Shreya won the title. Other winners were: 1st Level B- Harshavardhan, 2nd Level A-Risima M, 2nd Level B-Raj Komal P, 3rd Level A- Akshaya S Iyer, 3rd Level B- G Krishna Priya, 4th Level A- K Namitha, 4th level B-Mohan Das Arvind, Level 5-G Sakesh, Level 6-R Venkata Sravya, 7th Level-Uday Reddy K, 8th Level-I Prashanth.
The children who made it to the Grand Master level were: Grand Master A - V Supreet , Grand Master B -Pravay B and Grand Master C -KVS Bhargava.
AS Sameera was the Alumni Champion. These kids have now earned the eligibility to participate in a National Level Mental Arithmetic Competition to be held in Pune in November this year. The winners of the National level competition will participate in the International level competition to be held in Indonesia. National level winners from 19 countries will compete in the International competition.
Over 1,200 kids from various parts of Andhra Pradesh like Hyderabad, Ranga Reddy, Chittoor, Krishna, Guntur, Medak, Ananthapur and Nizamabad participated in SIP Prodigy 2012. The contest was held in 11 different levels. And depending on the different levels, the contest lasted from five to 11 minutes, in which kids of age group 5 to 12 years were supposed to solve 180 to 230 problems.
