ASC Centre & College emerge winners

The Karnataka State Football Association (KSFA) and Indiranagar Rotary Club conducted the Inter College Football Tournament at KSFA Stadium from December 19 to 31. The tournament was inaugurated by Rtn. (Dr.) Krishna Menon, President, Rotary Indiranagar. Twenty-eight teams participated in the tournament, which was played on a league-cum-knock-out basis.
Rtn. Shashank Kekre, President-elect, Rotary Indiranagar, and Shri AR Khaleel, President, KSFA, gave away individual prizes and the rolling President's Trophy to the winners, ASC Centre and College, and runners-up award to St. Joseph PU College. ASC Centre and College won the tournament with 5-0 goals against St. Joseph. A few individual prizes were also given away:
Individual awards: Best defender award to Rajeth J (ASC Centre and College); Best forward award to Prokash Mujumdar (ASC Centre and College); Best midfielder award to Uma Shankar (St Joseph's Commerce College); Best goalkeeper award to Sandeep (Christ College 'A').
Winners: ASC Centre and College: Sagar Gurung, Sajan Lama Tamang, Dipankar Mitra, Sachin Subba, Riwaj Pradhan, Diwakar Thapa, Aridam Nandi, Rajibdey, Lobmandal, Prokash Mujumdar, Suman Sarkar, Sunil Kumar, J Bhutia, Shantanu Paul, Dawa Tshering Bhutia, Soraj Rai, Gethesh H and Bipalab Das.
