Confederation of Residents Welfare Association along with RWA members of various sectors launched new voter registration awareness drive (prior to National Voters Day on January 25) for 10 days from January 5 to 15, the time period set by the Election Commission.
RWA members helped Booth Level Officials (BLOs) in different sectors for registering new voters. Under the strategy chalked out by Confederation, its members went from one sector to another and briefed its RWA members to make special efforts and help local BLOs in registering new voters and special attention was paid to rope in college students and youngsters who have not enrolled as voters yet. Form-6 for registering new voters was also provided to the RWA members.
The Confederation team was led by its chairman, NK Garg, general secretary AS Gulati, and other dignitaries including Subodh Nagpal, MC Gupta, Dinesh Garg and Asha Sharma.
