In an attempt to generate interest for a clean and green city, Agro Society of CBD- Belapur will be organising Basant Utsav at Sector 9 today.
Ajit Pillai, joint secretary of the association, says, “Basant Utsav is a fun-filled, day-long festival and is open for all nature lovers of Navi Mumbai. Activities such as plant-n-flower show, nature trail, dream your own green land and more, will be organised on the occasion.”
Ajit adds, “We are also planning to hold workshops on terrace gardening and reusing waste. This apart, we are also going to hold an exhibition of agro products, plants, green projects, etc.”
Agro society is a registered association of environmentally conscious residents formed in 2002. This association strives to develop land under high-tension wires into a green patch. This year, they are planning to launch a series of projects in order to create awareness among residents.
