For students who wanted a taste of student life in the UK, the British Council's, Education UK exhibition in Hyderabad was a blessing. The exhibition was held at the Taj Krishna, Banjara Hills, where the representatives from more than 38 UK institutions were present to meet and provide guidance to aspiring students.
The exhibition began in Hyderabad and will travel to Chennai, Bangalore and Pune and more than 4,000 students are expected to visit it.
This one-day exhibition in Hyderabad gave the local students a direct access to information on studying for an undergraduate, postgraduate or research degree and also an insight into student life and culture in the UK. The Education UK exhibition turned out to be a one-stop-shop where all queries about studying and living in the UK were answered.
This time around, the UK Border Agency (UKBA) stall manned by the officers of the British Deputy High Commission, Chennai, also assisted the visitors with queries pertaining to student visa regulations and policies. "It is indeed a blessing for us that we got a chance to come here and meet people from various Universities, including the Visa officers of UKBA," said Shruthi Rao, an aspiring student.
