Lions Club of Poona Kalyaninagar recently organized a Musical Tambola for fund raising which was attended by people from different walks of the society. Dainik Jagran Cityplus was the Media Partner for the event.
Abhhey Boddhi,  President, Lions Club of Poona Kalyaninagar said that the event raised funds worth Rs 1,14,000/- out of which they are spending Rs. 36000/- towards eye check up camp (Sponsoring14 patients for cataract surgery), dental check up at Kasturba Gandhi school at Koregaon Park, Lions Quest Programme (education books distribution), toilet block in slum area school, musical instruments and music system donation for visually impaired children and tree plantation.
“We are planning to form a trust where will make Fixed Deposit of the remaining amount. We plan to run a library project with the interest of this FD,” he added.
