It was a day of fun with talent as a wonderful chess tournament was organised on Sunday, February 19, by the Rainbow Club Kidz Library and Activity Centre, located at 11th Cross, Malleshwaram. With nearly 60 children participating, the event was a huge success.
"It was really a good show with maximum participation from kids. The chess tournament was open for all children across Malleshwaram. We had around 60 entries totally in both Under-10 and Under-16 categories. Eight prizes were given away under each category. We conduct such tournaments every three months and also other activities which include fun and educational programmes for kids are also organised in our campus," said Sujatha, one of the founder members of the club.
Having got good response, they plan to continue the same with special summer camps in the field of chess, art, crafts and Science. With such wonderful activities, the kids of Malleshwaram can soon have a wonderful time to learn new things with fun.
