The WaterFront society at Kalyani Nagar organised a funfair by the Children, For the Children and From the Children on December 22, the occasion of Christmas. The party had everything that a kid would want to enjoy, from games, music and some great snacks specially prepared by the kids of the society.
The children had put up food stalls, where delicacies such as desserts, sandwiches, cakes, etc., were on offer. The kids had also come up with innovative games which added to the fun element at the fair. Kamini Chauhan, Preeti Polode and some more members of the society helped the children make all the arrangements. The organisers had invited 25 children from a Vadgaon Sheri orphanage called Maher, who had a ball on the day. The proceeds from the funfair were donated to an organization called Santvana in the form of much-needed computers.
It was a joyous evening where we the kids had a lot of fun while taking care of the orphans who were invited by the organizers. The success of the party was testified by the broad smiles on the orphans’ faces. All in all, it was a fun-filled evening with a cause.
