On the occasion of Makarsankranti, Cityplus Pune had organised a kite festival at Brookbond society in Model Colony, Deccan. The celebration received an overwhelming response from the residents of the area.
Cityplus distributed kites and manja (strings for kites) amongst the participants, in coordination with local activist Ravindra Salgaonkar and his team. While talking about the festivities, Sandip Kale, a resident of the Model Colony, said, "This is a lovely initiative organised by Cityplus. In times when our culture and rituals are being waylaid, Cityplus is doing a great job at trying to preserve our cultural integrity."
The festival concluded with Tilgul distribution in various societies of the Model Colony area. Most residents were delighted by the surprise visit and wishes.
