Saurabh Chandekar's art exhibition was a unique one. In his paintings, he expressed his readings of the society effectively through the art medium. He has effectively shown the prominence of pomp that occupies all corners of today's social mind.
"I have highlighted the facial expressions in my paintings. I feel that the 'eyes' are the most important feature of human beings. The eyes perfectly reflect the personality and the character of the person. If a person is a fake, it shows through his eyes. That's why eyes are more prominent in my paintings," he said. When you look at his painting, the message behind it is clearly revealed.
Even though his paintings are wonderful, he specifies that the exhibition was not planned. He just started painting and one fine day, he decided to put them on display for all. The exhibition showcases 42 of his paintings. Saurabh did his GD Arts from Abhinav Kala Mahavidyalay in 2007; he has been working in the advertising field for the last 5 years. And he is currently working as an art director at 'Ogilvy & Mather', one of the most topmost advertising groups worldwide.
Saurabh has won many awards for painting, illustrations and advertising work at college level, and he was selected in the top 20 illustrators from all over India for an exhibition 'I POPS' held by K.V.Shreedhar (National Creative Director, Leo Burnett).
