Rotary Club Delhi South-West organised an on the spot poster painting competition for children recently. About 3,000 children from various schools and residential areas assembled to show their artistic talent.
Lalit Vohra, Rotary Club president said, "Like every year, we got overwhelming response."
Children from the age group 3 to 6 years, 6 to 9 years; 9 to 13 years; 13 to 17 years assembled at ARSD College. 'Pride of Delhi', 'Conservation of resources', 'Removal of social evils', 'Social Responsibilities' and 'End-Polio', were the painting topics given to the children. Union Minister of State, Ajay Maken, and District Governor Asit Mittal were the chief guests of this mega event. A wonderful magic show was conducted by magician Krishan Gopaal to entertain the children.
According to the president of Rotary Club, the beautiful posters created by the children will be sent to the various ministries and govt. departments for using these in their publicity campaign to create awareness amongst citizens.
