Dance competition held at Fine Arts Society

Last week, 8 Counts Dance Studio held its second annual dance competition at Siva Swami Auditorium, Fine Arts Society. Dainik Jagran Cityplus was the media partner for the event. Inmates of Chembur Children's Home, Mankhurd also performed at the event.
Mahesh Jaiswal, choreographer and director of 8 Counts Dance Studio said, "The performance delivered by the inmates of Chembur Children's Home was remarkable.
“We continuously rehearsed with the children for three months. The event encouraged the kids to view life with a positive attitude. The audiences also enjoyed their performance."
Sapna Dudani, director of 8 Counts Dance Studio who is a chartered accountant by profession, said, "My love for dance and passion for business and entrepreneurship encouraged me to do something for underprivileged children."
Dudani added, "More than 100 groups auditioned for the event. Of which, we selected five groups and solo performers each for the final day."
USD, the winning group won a cash prize of ` 30,000. Ameerah Fattal stood first in the solo category. She took home a cash prize of ` 10,000.
The event was judges by Nitin Das, Himanshu Gadani , Meera and well known choreographers from Bollywood.
