Last week, 32 Pearls Dental Clinic organised a free dental check up camp at BPCL Colony, Chembur in association with Dainik Jagran Cityplus. More than forty residents including children and senior citizens visited the camp. A team, comprising Dr Reshma Phulwar and Dr Pooja Kukreja, conducted free check ups at the event. Reshma Phulwar, founder of 32 Pearls, said, "Through these camps, we want to create awareness about mouth cancer and other periodontal diseases. Overall survival rates from mouth cancer remain low at only 50 per cent but with early detection we can increase this survival rate to 90 per cent. This is why a thorough examination is important.
