Cancer is curable if fought efficiently. To make people aware about this fact, Senior Citizens Council, Gurgaon DLF City Club Phase 4 held a discourse on cancer with the help of Medanta Hospital on World Cancer Day.
Among 80 people who attended the discourse, there were many cancer patients undergoing treatment and those who recovered from it.
Dr Ashok Ved, chairman, Cancer Centre Medanta Hospital said, "People panic when they learn that they are suffering from cancer. Cancer, if detected in early stage, can be cured." A team of super specialists of Medanta Hospital gave free consultation to the patients. This was an initiative taken by Prof ML Gulrajani, general secretary, DLF Senior Citizen Council.
Dr Rahul Bhargav said that if any person is having mild fever and cough often then he or she should immediately get his check up done and not consider that as normal.
