Great Mission Public School celebrated Annual Day 2012 'Uddan'. The programme began with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp followed by 'Saraswati vandana'. The primary wing presented a number of performances, including 'Yoga for a healthy mind and soul' and folk dance from Uttarakhand, Gujarat and other states.
Deputy Director of Education (West Zone) Krishna Sharma was the chief guest on the occasion. The other guests were Asian Gold medallist (Marathon), assistant director of education (Sports) Asha Aggarwal, Associate Professor of GGS Indraprastha University, Dr KS Yadav and Dr Dhananjay Joshi, coach of athletics at Chhatrasal Stadium Sunita Rai.
Chief guest Krishna Sharma felicitated the students for excellent results in academics and Asha Aggarwal distributed medals to the students who did well in sports. The school magazine 'Suprabhat' was also released. Krishna Sharma and Asha Aggarwal addressed the gathering discussing the modern education system. The day concluded with vote of thanks by Radha Ghai, principal of Great Mission Public School.
