Sri Chandanmal Pukhraj Bothra Trust, situated in Jaibharathnagar, organized a free eye camp on February 4, which saw a huge turnout.
People suffering from eye problems like cataract, glaucoma and other retinal problems got their vision tested in the eye camp that kickstarted at 9:30 am. Around 100 patients, consisting mostly of elderly citizens underwent eye testing. Sri Chandanmal Pukhraj Bothra Trust, founded by C.P. Bothra, regularly conducts diabetic, cardiac, ECG and orthopaedic camps and this is the sixth time the eye camp was being organized.
A total of six Optometrists, who are a part of the paramedical staff of GEF Eye Hospital, Hoskote, along with Dr. Sundar Ram Shetty and Dr. Chetan Sadanand were present to treat the patients.
"The response from the people was good. People not just from Banaswadi but even from various other parts like Hoskote, Thippasandra and Basavangudi, among others, came and attended," said Dr. Veena, one of the trustees.
