A combine effort of both students and teachers of Kala Niketan International School, Ghazipur made Goonj 2012 (KIS's annual function), a success.
Presence of bigwigs like Delhi Minister of Finance, Health and Urban development Dr AK Walia,  Deputy Director of Education (East)  Renu Sharma, MLA and Parliamentary Secretary to Delhi Chief Minister Naseeb Singh and founder chairman of the school O P Rai made the event grand. The programme began with lighting of the lamp and Ganesh Shiv Aradhna presented by the school students. Different moods like ego, anger, fear, joy and love were showcased by kids through dance. They also presented a show named Black Saturday which was based on terrorism and received an award. Folk dances of Rajasthan, West Bengal and Maharashtra charmed all present.
Six teachers Janki Shukla, Deepti Pathak, Kavita Sharma, Indu Mehta, Archana Rohilla, Neeru Kanchan and Meenakshi were awarded for their services rendered to the school. Several students were also awarded in various categories. Thousands of parents and viewers witnessed the programme.
