Madhya Pradesh State Tourism Development Corporation Limited (MPT), which has currently 64 units covering four main sectors such as heritage, pilgrimage, wildlife has decided to provide 20 per cent rebate on its packages for tourists recently. They also announced three new packages in programme held at Sayaji Hotle located in Wakad.
Speaking to the media, O V Choudhary, Chief General Manager, MPT said, "The state has diverse cultural, religious and adventure places. We provided tourists facilities of entertainments, transportation and safe vehicles for watching wildlife. We have decided to provide them 20 per cent discount on every package such as group, weekend and holidays. We appeal to senior citizens staying here in Pune to visit the State."
He further said that one cannot complete a tour within three days. At least five days are required for visiting one particular sector. "Last year, we had introduced caravan for tourists here," he informed.
Veena Raman, Deputy General Manager, MPT said, "One should go for a weekend tour as we provide them transportation from Pune. We offer them rail, road and air transportation. If one is planning for a tour, one could log in on MPT website. One could register as per vacation. If one wishes to go on particular date in a group, we will arrange accordingly."
