In order to rationalise distribution of water, 34th under ground reservoir (UGR) booster pumping station was inaugurated by Chief Minister and Delhi Jal Board chairperson Sheila Dikshit at Pitampura. Having 21.4 ML capacity, the UGR will benefit over 2.50 lakh residents of Pitampura area. DJB CEO Ramesh Negi, Water Supply member BM Dhaul and other officials of the Delhi Jal Board were present. Constructed at a total cost of Rs 24.30 crore, UGR will improve the water supply of Pitampura North, Pitampura East, Pitampura South, Shalimar Bagh, Haiderpur Village, Shalimar Village, Sahipur Village, Singhalpur Village and Ambedkar Colony.
