Ejipura New Extension Residents' Association (ENERA) celebrated Republic Day at "Asha Nilaya", Ejipura New Extension, on Thursday. Stanley Lazarus, Advocate and Notary, Registrar of Marriage, hoisted the flag. Rotarian S Jagmohan, President, Rotary Club, Koramangala and Lion Rajendra C, President, Lions' Club, NGV- Phoenix, were the guests of honours. P N Gopal, Secretary of ENERA, in his speech narrated the struggle for independence. Lion Rajendra briefed about the Mughal ruling and how India overcame to become a happening nation. Stanley Lazarus shared his insights on Citizens' constitutional rights.
As a mark of charity, 60 English and Kannada dictionaries donated by Rotary Club, Koramangala and Lions' Club, NGV- Phoenix, were distributed to the students of Ejipura Government High School and Asha Nilaya inmates.
President Nathan welcomed the gathering and Ravindra Kumar, Vice-President, delivered a vote of thanks. At the end, sweets were distributed for the gathering.
