The construction work of the road covering Sector 19 from house No. 70 to house No. 95 has finally completed much to the delight of the residents.
Built at an estimated cost of Rs 20 lakh, this one kilometre stretch will benefit the people moving towards the main road near the sector market.
People residing under the belt are elated and are also hopeful that the roads which are still in deplorable condition will be constructed soon.
The road is now functional followed by an inaugural ceremony. Councillor of the area Anil Sharma said, "The badly shaped road had become a severe problem for the residents living in the pocket. Now, commuters will not experience bumpy ride. Similarly, efforts are being made to start the construction work on other roads in the sector."
A member of Resident Welfare Association Sector 19 JM Sharma said, "It's a matter of joy that the roads of this pocket have been constructed but many roads are still in pathetic condition. We urge our councillor that they are also repaired soon."
