The 3rd open invitational handball tournament was conducted by the Sanjivani Sports Academy from 26 to 28 December, 2011 at Sanjivani International School Kharghar.
The opening ceremony was graced by Pramod Vinayak Hindurao, Chairman, CIDCO.  The other dignitaries present were Randhir Singh, secretary of the Mumbai District Handball Association, Devendra Chougule, secretary of the Raigad District Handball Association, Amit Kolhe, president, Amol Dhamdhere, vice president, B A Patil, secretary of Sanjivani Sports Academy and Vrinda J Malse, principal of Sanjivani International School.
The event started with lighting of the lamp and welcome song followed by the declaration of the tournament being open by Randhir Singh. There were 10 teams for U-16 boys and U-12 category. There were six teams for the women’s category and 12 teams for the men’s category. These teams traveled from all over Maharashtra state to be a part of this tournament. All the winning teams were awarded with their trophies and cash prize.
