The Vyalikaval Education Society celebrated its 32nd anniversary with great fanfare last week. With colourful performances from the students of all ages, it was a show well appreciated by all those who were present on the occasion. Local MLA, Dr C N Ashwathnarayan, and Corporator Manjunath Raju were the chief guests.
"It was really a proud moment for us to celebrate the 32nd anniversary. We have been able to deliver such good service for so many years and this is well evident from the response we get. We are also thankful to the parents for their continued support in making us reach such a level," said Principal Geetha who read out the annual report.
The cultural programme started with a classical group dance by girls. The special item for the day was the Mohini-Bhasmasura, which was well received by the audience. Dandiya dance, Bhangda and Western dance with fusion were the other items presented by the children.
While the nursery kids presented fusion dance, the girls from Ninth and Tenth Standard staged a classical fusion dance praising Lord Krishna. Adding more variety, the primary section kids of Second and Third Standard performed dance on a Telugu song. Special dances, with kids dressed as Adivasis, was also staged. Dramas based on funny themes were showcased which was a huge hit amongst the audience. Group and solo songs with instrumentals were the other additions for the day.
With nearly 18 colourful programmes, the anniversary celebration of the school was a grand affair with huge acclaim from all across the audience.
