The 26th year State-level Inter High School Vijaya Bank V-GenUTH Quiz Contest was conducted on Sunday (January 29) at Vijaya Bank Head Office in MG Road.
Attended by more than 400 students from various schools of the state, the quiz contest was conducted with much fanfare and celebration. Preetham Upadhya and S K Adithya of Sharada Vidyalaya, Mangalore, emerged as the winners.
With the Bank's Chairman & Managing Director H S Upendra Kamath shooting off the first question and the legendary 'Pick Brain' Giri Balasubramaniam conducting the quiz programme in his inimitable style combining professional perfection and informal warmth, the thronging crowd was witness to one of the most keenly contested quiz events in the recent times.
Presenting the Vijaya Bank V-GenUTH Quiz Contest Rolling Trophy to the winning team comprising Preetham Upadhya and S K Adithya from Sharada Vidyalaya, Mangalore, and the Runner-up Trophy to the team comprising Ashwin Kumar and Pranav Ramamurthy from St Joseph’s Boys’ High School, Bangalore, Upendra Kamath congratulated all the participants. Shubhalakshmi Panse, Executive Director of the Bank, gave away laptops and notebooks as individual prizes to the members of the winning team as well as the Runners up team. Trophies were also given to all the finalists apart from Best Performing Outstation team.
