The students of Wadia College have proved that any event can be bigger and even successful without the 'guest appearance' of any celebrity in it. More than 1,200 students from different colleges participated in events--Infinity and Horizon 2012. The festival started off with face painting and rangoli competition, followed by a treasure hunt. Many students enthusiastically participated in these events and the competitors showed off their skills.
While some of the event were not to so unusual like street and Bollywood dancing, they were made fun by the participants. Game show called Minutes to win came out as the most successful event. The entire campus was alive and brimming with visitors as the events were happening at four different venues. There were live projectors put up to entertain the audience.
"This not only gives a platform to students like us to come out and exploit our talents, but also helps us to be socially responsible in nature and be responsible citizens of the country," said Sujit Wadekar, student of FY B Com, Wadia College.
"As a tradition, this year too, the proceeds of the event will be donated for a noble cause. It is the vision of the staff and the students to entertain and provide the participants of this event with a wide range of activities in a vibrant environment, culminating into an exhilarating event," said the oraganiser of the college, who refused to be named.
