“Nadi Chikitsa” has gained popularity in the recent past for its favour with people seeking relief from their ailments.

Nadi chikitsa
In this fast paced world, people are now getting more familiar with the names of diseases than anything else. Reviving their traditions, they are inclined to adopt each and every possible method to solve their health issues.
Whatever we do in life has an equal impact on our own self is quite evident from the internal reaction in our body. "Nadi Chikitsa" is one such science which is based on this philosophy. Mahesh Krishnamurthy from Malleshwaram has been practising this science for the last 10 years. He claims to have cured many patients suffering from minor mental depressions to those suffering from diabetes, sleeplessness, asthma, blood pressure, stammering, spondalyitis, cholesterol, etc.
"The root cause of each and every health problem in a body is directly related to things like how we digest, sit, think and relate to the environment around us. 'Nadi Chikitsa' is a name coined by me, combining the diagnosis which is done by examining the pulse (Nadi) and the therapy (Chikitsa), which is carried after it. This is one of the ancient methods of diagnosis and I was fortunate to have got an opportunity to learn it from one of my gurus. The 'nadi' of a person reveals everything right from how he thinks, feels, dreams, the past and problems faced, sleep pattern, etc and hence based on this examination one can understand how his organs and each part of the body functions," says Krishnamurthy.
According to the "Nadi Chikitsa", the way we behave has a direct impact on our body. For example, diabetes and piles are directly related to the feeling of insecurity and fear, sleep disorders to the feeling of loneliness, thyroid to lack of expression, asthma and stammering to holding back to your past, etc. After diagnosis, the therapy mainly includes three sections. Firstly, physiological, where it deals with the symptoms and involves methods like controlling of food, changing your daily patterns, etc. The psychological therapy follows it, which is considered as the strongest areas of transformation. Techniques like free form writing (writing down whatever you think, right at the moment after you wake up in the morning), gratitude practice (reviving five uplifting experiences you had in your life just before you go to sleep and writing just a few words like 'I am feeling very happy') help people feel better and resolve their sleeping disorders, depressions, etc. The last section is about spiritual practice which involves techniques like subliminal audio experience, past life therapies, time line therapy, yoga and spiritual detoxification, which involves connecting to your own self through guidance.
"When people are able to let go their past, forgive and feel happiness from their environment; then he is healthy in true form. One needs to connect to one self, rewinding your emotions, deliver unconditional love and be happy. Each and every therapy is given based on whether they will accept it or not and hence most of them are successful," added Mahesh.
With the therapy having helped many who could not find any relief from other techniques of medicine; "Nadi Chikitsa" has become a popular form . Reviving the traditions, people are now going back to their roots to relish true happiness and health.
