Guarding respite

Acting on a report in our December 3-9 edition, the police has increased security by deploying more personnel at a FOB.

The report had talked about the problems faced by residents due to lack of security at this foot overbridge for a long time. Chain snatching and eve teasing cases had also become common.
Two PCR vans can now be seen deployed at entry and exit of foot overbridge on both sides. Residents are very happy over the move.
Bhoomika Tewari, a commuter said, “It is good to see police officials standing and guarding the area near the foot overbridge. I hope they continue the same as it has made us feel secure.”
Laxmi Nagar SHO Ravinder Kumar said, “Yes, we have increased the security nowadays. We have deployed more personnel and
PCR vans at the spot.” Around 14-15 chain snatching cases and a dozen of eve-teasing incidents have been reported lately at this spot. Lighting is still a problem on this bridge.
