Usha Chaudhary has been running a school for the betterment of underprivileged women.

Caught in the complexities of life, 48-year-old Usha forgot about her goal in life to make other women self-reliant. When her children got busy in their lives, she again discovered herself and started working on her noble aim.
Today, she runs a school and train women in sewing, knitting and dressmaking. "This is our first batch which will complete its three months in February and from March, we'll be training the next batch," said Usha. She along with the school trainer Sangita Saxena is planning to give one sewing machine to the best performer in each batch.

Urge to support
Even Usha isn't sure about when she developed this urge to help the underprivileged women. "My father was very much active in social work and this idea must have come from that connection," says Usha.

Family power
Usha says that without the support of her husband and children, she would have never been able to fulfil her dream. "My husband supports me financially to run this school. Moreover, he also helps me in my school works. He has always supported me in my work."

Works in the pipeline
"I'm aiming to train at least 50 women by the end of this year. For others, it may be a small number, but for me making even a single women self-reliant is a big achievement," reveals Usha.
Usha is also an animal lover and is often seen surrounded by stray dogs. She has also lovingly given names to these dogs. I want to make a shelter for these animals where I can take care of them.
