Most people feel shy when they are asked to shake a leg. But 10 year-old Manvi Chauhan does not need any persuasion or entreaties and when she dances she puts many to shame.

Daughter of Suraj and Renu Chauhan, Manvi is currently studying in fifth grade of K.P.C English High School, Kharghar. Her mother is also associated with the school as a teacher and her elder brother Shivam who is in seventh grade of the same school.

Apart from winning competitions in school, Manvi has also won several dance competitions in city malls such as Inorbit and Raghuleela in Vashi. She also has won prizes in her school annual day competitions continuously for three years. In 2007 she won the second prize in group dance competition while in 2008 she bagged the top position in solo dance. This year too she managed to win the second runners up title in solo dance competition. Manvi has choreographed all dance sequences in her annual day function and also gives her teachers lessons in dance whenever required.
The school at present does not have a dance teacher and Manvi has taken up the task of teaching her friends, classmates and all others interested in dance. Manvi has been dancing for the past 4-5 years and unlike other dancers she has learnt all the steps by merely watching T.V. Her favourite dancer is Hrithik Roshan and she also likes international pop sensation Shakira's belly dance moves. Manvi first performed at Durga Puja celebration when she was just 18 months old.

Future Plans
Manvi's aim in life is to grow up to be an actress and a professional dancer. She does not have any role models and wants to be a role model for others in the coming years.
