Drinking water supply in Sector 17 has been badly hit much to the ire of the residents.

The residents allege that contaminated water full of sand and soil particles is being supplied in the area for a long time now.  Despite repeated complaints, nothing concrete has been done by the authorities.
The residents informed that even their RO systems and water purifiers have stopped working due to the mud particles. The residents have resorted to packaged buying water bottles to overcome this problem.
Nirdosh Gupta, a resident informed, "People are troubled, but officials do not listen. Municipal Corporation of Faridabad (MCF) claims that our sector comes in the VIP zone but the facilities are sub-standard here. We pay all the taxes but such is our plight."
General secretary Ajay Gaur added, "This problem is haunting us from past one month. We have lodged several complaints but the corporation is not ready to hear our complaints. The water stinks sometime and cannot be even used for regular purposes."
On the other hand the authorities feign ignorance. Executive engineer Municipal Corporation SK Agarwal said, "I have not received any complaints. If there is any such problem we'll get it inspected."

Temporary solution

The residents informed that even their RO systems and water purifiers have stopped working due to the mud particles. They have resorted to packaged buying water bottles.
