ORR 2ND ramp IN FEB.

If all goes well, the Bangalore Development Authority (BDA) will open the other ramp of the Outer Ring Road (ORR) flyover at HSR Layout by the first week of February.

They had already opened another ramp in September last year. Commuters and motorists now can heave a sigh of relief as the service road from 14th Main to Central Silk Board junction has been asphalted, smoothing the traffic.
The final layering of the road would be over by the first week of February. The service road on the other side of the ORR would be asphalted after February 15. BDA is making sincere efforts to make the co3ndition of roads better at HSR Layout. It may be recalled that earlier traffic movement on the ORR was very slow, resulting in bumper to bumper movement of traffic and huge jams.
The asphalting of the service road is a great step taken by the BDA for the fast movement of traffic. The opening of one ramp of the flyover in September proved to be a great boon to commuters. People are eagerly waiting for the other ramp to be opened.
Rama Raju, a motorist, said: "It is very relaxing now to ride on the road as we can avoid heavy traffic. We appreciate the effort by the authorities."
Prabhat Reddy, a commuter, said: "Traffic movement has become much faster because of this. We are now able to reach our work places quicker. I hope that they open the flyover soon so that the traffic fast and smooth."
Ravindra Nath, BDA Assistant Executive Engineer, said:  "The final layer of asphalting the service road is yet to be done. After this, we will take up the service road on the other side of the ORR. The opening of the other ramp of the flyover is scheduled for the first week of February."
