Vehicles parked at the Om Super Market corner pose a threat to residents and commuters.

Heavy vehicles parked at the corner of the square tend to create a blind angle for the vehicles approaching from the Jain boarding side of the road. "It's difficult to spot oncoming traffic because of the parked vehicles at the corner; this result in various problems while riding or driving. At times, we even fail to spot pedestrians approaching us," said Bharti Bhondave, a resident of the area.
Another resident alleged that numerous many heavy vehicles belonging to a trading company in the vicinity are mostly found parked at the corner, occupying precious road space. The twin-sided parking on the road leading to Jain boarding further narrows the road down. "The concerned officers should look into the matter; parking on both sides creates congestion. The situation will be much better if P1 and P2 system is implemented on the road," Bhondave added. Some part of the area is in dire need of adequate illumination since the streetlights are not working properly.
Cityplus had previously highlighted the double parking issue, following which, action was taken by the traffic department. However, the blind turn problem continues to haunt motorists and pedestrians alike. On being contacted, Sanjay Patange, traffic in-charge of the area, promised timely action against offenders.
