Yuvraj Singh and Brett Lee are his idols and he wants to take the best out of the two in his game. At 12, Garv Dev, who wants to be an all-rounder, was one of the youngest players in the Kings Eleven Cup representing the Red Team. He has also been selected to be groomed for the Kings Eleven Punjab Team.

A resident of Tilak Nagar and a student of class 7th at Venkteshwar International School, Sector 10, Garv started cricket three years back. His father Anil Dev, a businessman,   says, "Garv used to play cricket at home with me. I saw his inclination towards the game. I started giving him support and after a couple of years, I took him for the formal coaching at Air India Academy. Coach Pradeep Kochar recognised his talent and suggested me to groom his cricket career. That was the beginning of his journey."
His father Anil shares, "The tournament is to pick talented players and prepare them for the Kings Eleven Punjab Team. Garv was the youngest in the tournament and he would be groomed for the team in future."

Favourite pastimes
Quiet in nature, Garv is fond of computer games and watching cricket matches. Garv says that his elder sister Bhumika always inspires him. He likes to eat rajma chawal cooked by his mother. Along with cricket he is good in academics too.

Passion for the game
The walls in his room are full of posters and collage of cricketers. There is a big TV screen and cricket goods near his bed and study table. Garv's mother Reena Dev, an entrepreneur, shares, "He loves the game like anything. He does his routine work and study in advance to give more time to cricket."  In cricket sky is the limit for him. One day he wants to be a part of the Indian team.

Wants to become all rounder
Garv wants to become a perfect all rounder and his idols are Yuvraj Singh and Brett Lee. Though he has established himself as a budding fast bowler, he wants to become a perfect all-rounder in cricket. "I love bowling and I am playing as a bowler in the mainstream. But I want to become a perfect all rounder in future because if you want to survive you have to bat as well."

A  keen learner
Garv is a keen learner on and off the field. His coach Pradeep Kochar says, "He is a good observer and sticks to what is taught to him. He is a very good learner and tries to improve his game. His bowling action and run up is very much favourable to groom him as a good bowler." Garv always practises in nets with honesty and takes the tips of his coach and seniors. Garv dedicates six hours a day for practice.
