Pocket 4 Mayur Vihar Phase 1 residents allege constant misbehaviour by students of a nearby school.

The students have allegedly made a pathway which helps them to escape from the school and reach the residential area through the college building. They create nuisance in the whole area, residents allege.
In the morning, the girls’ school is held in this building while classes for boys are held in the afternoon. “This is a very serious issue as the students are rude and don’t have manners. They are a threat to the safety of our area,” claimed VP Gupta, secretary, senior citizens welfare association.
Residents say the kids also create ruckus after school in the colony by allegedly smoking in the neighbourhood park of the colony. These students, who move in a gang, tarnish the image of the school as well, they claim.
“Passing by this school around 1 pm when the school gets over is very difficult as these students trouble passersby by passing lewd comments and block the way. Either the school authorities or the police should do something to solve this problem,” said Rashmi Ahuja, a resident of Pocket 4.
The RWA office is also located in the park adjoining the school. “Stopping these kids from creating nuisance is also difficult as they don’t listen. These kids indulge in many indecent activities which are not good for anyone,” said RD Sharma, general secretary, Pocket 4 RWA.
These students have also broken the boundary wall of the park and allegedly sold iron rods, they claimed.
One of the staff members of the school on condition of anonymity said, “The girls of our school are very nice. We try to tell the boys to be disciplined and not irritate the residents of the colony but it is always useless.”
One of the staff of the school on the condition of anonymity said, “the girls of our school are very nice and clam but about the boys, we try to tell them to be disciplined and at least not irritate the residents of the colony, but this always results in a failure,”
Principal of the school said, "We have many good students as well. May be some students are creating a mess and troubling the residents. We will pay attention to this. On the issue of bunking school and running from a passage behind from the school, we are planning to construct a boundary wall soon.”
