Broken gate and boundary wall, damaged roads and open fuse boxes are the highlights of the central park in Sector 12 Pocket 8, much to the chagrin of residents.
Residents of Suryodaya Apartments in Sector 12 Pocket 8 say the park, the only one near the society, is under the DDA's jurisdiction but authority hardly maintains it.
Surya Pal Singh, a resident of the society, said, "It has been more than a couple of years that the main gate of the park has been broken. The RWA and the residents are maintaining the park but it's not always possible for us. The electric poles around the park's boundary walls have open fuse boxes, which is dangerous."
RWA president Sultan Singh said, "This is the only park near our society. We are maintaining it but we cannot do anything regarding other civic issues. The concrete road just in front of the park is in a bad state. We have written letters to DDA to repair the road and the boundary wall but they have not taken the matter seriously."
Regarding the open fuse boxes, BSES senior manager Ashok Sharma said, "The matter is not in my knowledge.  If there is a need for boxes, we will provide them. The RWA should write or meet us regarding any such problem then we would do the needful."
On the damaged gate or boundary wall, DDA horticulture officials said that it is responsibility of the civil department.
