New Year 2012 has dawned and it's that time of the year when people take new decisions, buy clothes and pin new hopes. We asked a few residents of Jayanagar about the resolutions they have set for themselves for the New Year.

My New Year resolution is that I will stop smoking and shed extra ponds. I want to spend more time with my family.

I want to practise counselling and help the girl students in school. I also want to devote more time for spirituality and for gardening. 2012 should be positively eventful for my whole family.

In 2012, I want to help more animals and adopt them. I also want to bring in awareness among people on ethical treatment of animals. By the end of 2012, I want to bring it into practice at least in five people.

My New Year resolution is that I will study hard and make my parents proud. I want to learn music and devote more time for studies."
