Will 50 per cent seats reserved for women corporators result in better administration?

Although it is a nice way to encourage more women to be a part of the system, I think that at the end of the day, power is misused by most politicians, be it men or women.

A good move by the corporation. Women turn out to be better administrators; we have had many examples set by now.

Most women who are standing today from women’s wards are relatives and wives of existing corporators or party workers. So it’s unlikely that they will be better than their male counterparts.
