Koramangala based Natyasruti will be organising 'Multimedia Lecture Series' at the Indian Heritage Academy Hall in Koramangala 6th Block on June 25, July 2, July 3 and July 9. It will be held at 6pm on those days. On the first day (June 25) noted author Vikram Sampath will speak on 'The Lords of 33 Villages' - Mysore under the Wodeyars (1399-1950). Vikram Sampath is the author of two widely acclaimed books: 'Splendours of Royal Mysore: the untold story of the Wodeyars' and 'My name is Gauhar Jaan!--the life and times of a musician'. The lecture will take you on a journey through the highs and lows of the marvelous Wodeyar dynasty of South India-- right from its establishment in 1399, its period of glory, its eclipse, its subsequent reinstatement, and its contribution to the fields of art, music and culture. Students of Natyasruti will make brief music and dance presentations relevant to the topic of the day before every lecture.
