Pt. Birju Maharaj`s workshop at Alaknanda Institute

Padma Vibhushan Pt Birju Maharaj's workshop will be conducted at Alaknanda Institute. Pt. Birju Maharaj has blessed Alaknanda through many years of training, performance and success in the field of Kathak dance. She first performed as a little Krishna for Maharaji's kathak balley Krishnayana at the age of six.
Pt Birju Maharaj was also seen as the chief guest for Alaknanda's 'Natraj Festival' in November, 2010.
Alaknanda's workshop at her new and fourth institute in Singapore was widely appreciated. The finale of the workshop ended on June 12 at Queenstown, Singapore. She is expected to be back in India on June 20.
She was recently awarded 'The spirit of Womanhood' by CPAA and Imperial hotel and the 'WOW Woman of the year' by IRPPL acknowledging her contribution to field of promoting art and culture.
